BAT FIJI SUVA IS LOOKING FOR MODULE LEAD
The Module Lead has accountability for results for their module, Daily Management Systems (DMS), and organizational health of their module. Responsible to “lead” a Team of Technical Operators and operators (Equipment Owners) for their assigned module. They are responsible for delivering the overall results necessary to achieve the module target by rigorous application of IWS. 95% of individual’s time will be spent on the operating Floor working with the team

ROLE SUMMARY
Business
The module lead is accountable for the below:
- Operate their equipment and Flow to work as needed to meet the business need Coach and develop the Technical operators / equipment owners
- Support execution of personnel systems to grow capability of operators/equipment owners Teams (team skill matrix and training plan, quarterly assessments and leave approval
- Work with other Module leaders, Technical Operators and Operators to maintain cohesive, responsive, flexible organization
- Lead interface with contract organization for support / issue resolution for Shift Team
- Lead the Shift DDS Meeting, per the Site DDS DMS.
- Participant in weekly DDS meeting (as required).
- Deliver Module Team capability for DMS execution.
- AM single point contact for the Module Team. Includes DMS, action plan execution, and maintenance of standards
- Lead Module Team through the IWS Phase Journey
- Coach Module Team and support resources to comply with established standards and document standards for improvements made
- Deliver Module Team capability for Changeover execution per Standard Work Practice at target time
- Support development and lead portions of loss elimination plans using IWS tools
People
- Identification of training & development needs for operators on technical and DMS
- Manage good working relationship with the key stakeholders (line, maintenance & process lead)
- Create conducive environment that will motivate the team (maintenance lead, module lead and operators) to strive for achieving continuous improvement
Working relationship:
Internal:
- Communicate effectively with all relevant stakeholders on machine performance index and help needed to facilitate line improvement
- Work closely with Maintenance Lead, Line Lead, Module Lead and operators in rolling out and maintaining health checks
- Good synergy with operators to have bottom-up feedback on action plan executed and its effectiveness reviewed
External:
- OEM, Local vendors
EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE
Experience/Education:
- At least a Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering with at least 3 to 5 years of relevant experience
- Ability to work with data and information analysis using Microsoft Excel
- Proficient in MS Words and power-point is required for OPL & Work Instructions
- Adequate knowledge on problem solving skills (5Whys, 6W2H) and general factory standard such as 5S, EHS & Good manufacturing practices.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills with all level of staff
- SAP knowledge will be an added advantage
- Able to lead a team and team player him/herself
- Proficient in troubleshooting knowledge on machines (cigarette maker/packer) will be added advantage.
