What are the key objectives and expectations from this role?  

The Senior Manager DBS Manufacturing Business Analyst role is a highly visible position that is an integral part of the Digital Business Solutions function supporting Operations Manufacturing. This position will be accountable for the incident management and change management process of Manufacturing application systems which are a key part of Reynolds American Operations. Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA), Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), Ignition Quality Systems, EHS systems, Power BI, and SAP support are in scope for this role. This role will engage mid-level management stakeholders in Quality, EHS, Engineering and Plant Performance to deliver Manufacturing solutions that help people, process and products continuously improve for the business. Objective is to learn & the end-to-end process for the functional areas of support become a key Subject Matter Expert.

What is the direct impact of this role on the team or organization?

Successful candidates will be able to work directly and proactively with clients, consultants, systems architects, analysts, and project managers. Leads, Orchestrates, Consults, designs, build, test, and support implementation of complex manufacturing system solutions to help clients improve performance in their manufacturing operations. Provide detailed and complex root-cause analysis support and maintenance to systems hardware and software as required. Prepare technical evaluations, functional specifications, technical documents, proposals, and project plans. Thinking outside the box, leading innovation, and influencing automation opportunities to become reality will make a successfully candidate the strategic partner the organization desires.

WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR

  • Manages, Leads and Orchestrates from design to Hypercare of complex of manufacturing applications matching client demands with system & process solutions.
  • Serve as a productive project team member delivering high quality results for assigned tasks.  Assists the project managers with project planning by assisting with the development of work plans, test plans, effort estimates and delivery timelines for assigned tasks.
  • Effectively engages with clients to capture business needs, improvement areas and technology adoption opportunities; engages contracted vendor providing input to help monitor and improve the services performance.
  • Tests, integrates, and maintains technology services, considering cross-functional business needs and Company goals. 
  • Coordinates issue resolution with cross functional teams and vendors.
  • Demonstrates IT Department services acumen and effectively leverages existing IT services to meet client needs.
  • Displays business acumen by understanding the business processes of the assigned functions supporting.
  • Supports change management, incident management, training, and transition to operations to improve the end user experience.
  • Provides knowledge transfer and feedback to assist team and co-workers.
  • Maintains awareness of emerging technology and communicate business value/impact for supported functions.

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND KNOWLEDGE

  • 5 Years’ Experience with IT for Operations or equivalent business function
  • 4 Year undergraduate degree in IT related field or equivalent job experience
  • Excellent client facing, written and verbal communications skills.
  • Passionate and driven with excellent interpersonal skills working with clients, vendors, co-workers, and project team members.
  • Strong strategic, logical / analytical, and creative thinking
  • Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems.
  • Experience working in fast-paced environment with an always on sense of urgency.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Teams, Planner etc.) and SharePoint
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail, and ability to handle multiple tasks undertight deadlines.
  • Must be a self-starter who can work with minimal supervision, with the expectation of working as a motivated and cooperative team member.

BENEFICIAL

  • Traditional Project Management or Agile Training
  • Experience with FDA relevant systems and/or processes and computer system validation
