ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES

Your primary focus will be supporting the process of Consumer insights generation for BAT`s New Categories. Your impact will derive from overseeing the analysis of total Nicotine and New Categories market trends and consumer behaviour; acting as the custodian of research, insights plans and processes across while leading the research process and roll-out of best practices.

Your role will contribute to the strategic decision-making process through a sound understanding of our consumers and key markets. With a focus on a cross-nicotine view on new categories, you will analyse and create meanings from research findings and extensive data, translating them into insights or recommendations for the business.

WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR

  • Own and coordinate New Categories research plan and analysis.
  • Understand New Category consumer behaviour and the journey from combustible to new category products.
  • Track New Categories performance for the industry, BAT, and key competitors across all key markets.
  • Engage the internal stakeholders to ensure all relevant New Category insights are effectively integrated into our decision-making process.
  • Manage budget for New Category research initiatives to ensure synergy, objectivity, and prioritisation of spending.

EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE

  • Strong experience in a Consumer research role, both quantitative & qualitative research design and management.
  • Comfortable with complex data derived from different platforms and connecting them to get actionable insights.
  • Strong project and budget management, including the processing of payments on time and legal approvals for all materials used in research.
  • Internal tools/software confident user (Nielsen/Kantar Explorer, HIVE).

BENEFICIAL

  • Excellent storytelling and presentation skills, an appetite for design & data visualization.
  • Power BI skills.
  • Previous experience with Statistics.
