BAT FIJI IS LOOKING FOR TRADE ANALYST
SENIORITY LEVEL : Non-Management Level

LOCATION : Suva, Fiji
ROLE TYPE : Permanent role
ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES
The Trade Analyst will be responsible for the management and execution of Demand Planning processes and collaboratively work across functions to generate and manage the reporting for Cycle Planning.
In addition, the role is responsible for driving insights on sales, customer service/order fulfilment, forecast projections and accuracy, that will aid support Marketing and Business deliverables.
Reports to: Demand Planning & Information Executive
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDES:
Strategic Planning and Forecasting:
- Collaborate with Production, Supply Chain, and Finance teams to optimize demand planning and forecasting processes.
- Enhance the Effective Market Focus (EMF) processes with innovative methodologies to improve forecasting accuracy.
- Contribute to achieving forecasting accuracy targets by ensuring accurate inputs and assumptions during strategic meetings.
Insight Generation and Market Analysis:
- Regularly generate comprehensive reports on market performance, including daily, weekly, monthly insights, and ad-hoc analyses.
- Analyze completed cycles to review each activity’s effectiveness, sharing results and recommendations with relevant stakeholders.
- Ensure the integration of market insights and distribution inputs into the standard operating process.
Operational Excellence and Process Governance:
- Assist in governing the monthly planning and reporting processes, aligning activities with company goals.
- Engage with internal stakeholders across Brand, Trade, Finance, and Supply Chain to ensure alignment on market understanding and performance metrics.
QUALIFICATIONS AND ESSENTIAL ATTRIBUTES:
- Minimum of 3 years work experience of a similar analytical or strategic planning role, preferably within the FMCG sector or a related industry.
- A bachelor's degree/diploma in a relevant field such as business administration and marketing, is typically preferred.
- Strong knowledge of demand planning, forecasting, and inventory management in fast-paced industries.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with analytics or business intelligence tools.
- Familiarity with data analysis tools to provide market insights and support decision-making.
- Excellent communication skills for presenting findings and collaborating with various internal teams.
- Advanced analytical abilities to generate and interpret complex reports into actionable insights.
- Experience in cross-functional collaboration with teams like Production, Supply Chain, Finance, Brand, and Trade.
- Proven track record in enhancing forecasting and planning accuracy to boost business performance.
