ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES
The Insights Manager will be responsible for driving consumer insights and foresights scope across multiple categories within Global Travel Retail, identifying insights workstreams to collect actionable business opportunities actively chipping in and crafting GTRs strategic marketing plans and full cycle of brand journey to support category growth, product development, and campaign initiatives.
Demonstrating qualitative and quantitative research methods, the Insights manager will play a crucial role in improving the business understanding of consumer behaviour and market dynamics and sharing recommendations to accelerate growth.
Reports To: GBS Insights Lead
WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR
- Research Design and Delivery: Drive the GTR (Global Travel Retail) design and execution of strategic qualitative and quantitative research studies in collaboration with research agencies and internal team members, ensuring timely and relevant insights.
- Agency Relationship Management: Maintain day-to-day relationships with research agencies, including regular check-ins and project proposals, to ensure smooth execution of research initiatives.
- Consumer Needs Identification: Identify key consumer and category needs to advise Category leads in developing effective marketing strategies and plans.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with teams such as Category, Digital, Deployment, and Trade to integrate consumer insights into their decision-making processes.
- Market Trend Analysis: Monitor and analyse market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify emerging opportunities and threats, using various market research sources.
- Anticipating Market Changes: Stay updated on trends and shifts in the external environment that could influence consumer behavior, assisting in long-term planning and identifying future market demands.
- Digital Research Management: Improve digital research capabilities to facilitate agile insights and a deeper understanding of consumer journey behaviours. Promote the benefits of digital research platforms among collaborators.
- Communicating Insights: Communicate research findings and insights to a wide range of individuals, including collaborators, customers, partners, and team members. Use visual aids and storytelling techniques to convey sophisticated concepts and influence decision-making.
- Ad-Hoc Research Projects: Conduct ad-hoc desk studies to uncover actionable business opportunities and formulate strategic recommendations.
- Building Collaborative Relationships: Develop and maintain positive connections with collaborators throughout the organization to encourage partnership and knowledge exchange.
- Innovation Objective: Identify and actively pursue continuous improvement opportunities to increase the overall efficiency and effectiveness of processes

EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Business Administration or a related field.
- 5-7 years of proven experience in Marketing, with a focus on consumer insights and research.
- Experience in project management, preferably across multiple markets.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to demonstrate diverse data sources to form actionable insights and recommendations.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, capable of conveying sophisticated messages concisely.
- Ability to anticipate team member needs and provide timely solutions.
- Adaptable to challenging situations and skilled in problem-solving.
- Additional: Open to working on End Market timelines & work days (this can vary depending on the markets assigned)
