SENIORITY LEVEL: Internship

FUNCTION: Communication

MONTHLY ALLOWANCE: RM 1,500 only

LOCATION: Bandar Sunway, Selangor

ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES

The Communications Intern’s role is to support Communications Manager in the delivery of the DBS communications strategy for DBS KL Hub. They will support to ensure effective and efficient landing of strategic key messages and global campaigns and will provide communication support to Site LTs, local Talent & Culture and various stakeholders.

Reports to: Communications Manager

Reporting Level: Individual Contributor

Geographic Scope: APMEA

WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR

  • Create Engaging Content: Work closely with the Communications Manager to develop various types of content, including internal announcements, infographics, posters, and videos.
  • Coordinate Messaging Across Channels: Ensure that all internal communications are delivered across multiple channels in a timely, organized, and targeted manner, supporting the Hub’s communication strategy.
  • Support Internal Events: Help organize events such as town halls and employee engagement activities. This includes coordinating the agenda, content, speakers, branding, and event memorabilia, while collaborating with the Facilities team for logistics.
  • Collaborate on Strategic Planning: Assist the Communications Manager with functional communication plans and support Engagement projects that align with our values-driven initiatives.

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

  • Degree in Mass Communication or any related subject
  • Highly proficient in spoken and written English and excellent communication skills
  • Experience developing different versions of content for a range of social/digital channels, for example infographics, data visualization, animation and video. Graphic design and video editing skills represent an advantage
  • Able to coordinate activities in a complex environment and possess experience with end-to-end event management (in person & online events)
  • Able to deliver clear and simplified messages
  • High energy, self-motivated and creative individual
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Great sense of humour, hardworking and reliable team player, working well in cross-functional teams
