ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES
What are the key objectives and expectations from this role?
- Organize and execute machinery maintenance, including breakdown and preventive maintenance, to ensure continuous machine operation. Prepare and monitor revenue budgets, ensuring targets are met. Plan and implement quality improvement initiatives in collaboration with other departments.
- Motivate and engage the maintenance team to achieve department objectives. Identify training needs and provide regular feedback for skill development. Ensure continuous improvement in employee performance.
- Plan and execute machine conversions to meet market demand as per the Master Production Schedule. Monitor spare parts consumption and maintain availability. Enforce EH&S policies in all relevant activities.
- Seek feedback from the SMD team to improve maintenance quality and execute suggested actions. Work closely with the services team for effective maintenance execution.
- Encourage the team to innovate and find new ways to improve processes. Execute standardization of machinery through modifications for quality, safety, and productivity enhancement. Continuously seek process improvements.
- Develop and implement best practices, common platforms, and knowledge sharing with other functions and factories within Operations.
- Ensure execution of maintenance activities to achieve production and quality targets.
- The factory operates continuously, facing challenges related to skill enhancement, affecting delivery, quality, and cost targets. The site is located in a remote, agricultural-based area with shortages of skilled labor and contractors.
EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE
- DAE / B-Tech with 3 – 6 years of experience.
- In depth knowledge about troubleshooting
