What are the key objectives and expectations from this role?

The individual is responsible for the consolidating Payroll inputs for payroll processing, managing accurate employee record, updating employee insurance life / medical insurance and processing clearance & final settlement for leavers. Ensure proper controls are exercised and payments are made as per company policy and procedures.

What is the direct impact of this role on the team or organization?

The role is key to ensure accurate and timely availability of data to ensure that employee experience is not impacted and company doesn’t carry any potential risk due to error in employee record.

Core Relationships

Internal – Engage with local business team to identify areas of improvement within existing Payroll and rewards portfolio. Close coordination with HRBPs for payroll changes.

External – Payroll Service provider, Government departments (Income Tax, EOBI, Social Security etc), Insurance service provider

Travel Required

10-15% local travel factories and regional offices.

Accountabilities

  • Prepare accurate monthly payroll inputs including joiners, leavers, movers along with change in allowance, once off payment and deductions.
  • Maintain accurate employee lifecycle records in hard / soft form as per company policy.
  • Prepare timely clearances and final settlements of leavers, escalating any delays
  • Drive simplification and automation in own area as well as support others in transformation
  • Ensure timely data integration between HR Systems
  • Manage employee medical and Life insurance policy and claims

Experience, skills, knowledge

ESSENTIAL Accounting knowledge and experience, proficiency in MS Excel and Power Point, Understanding of local regulations i.e. income tax, EOBI etc. 

Experience Required

  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in the field of payroll / finance

Technical / Functional / Leadership Skills Required

  • Knowledge of accounting and Finance
  • Experience in SAP, Organizational Change, Business excellence and process simplification
  • Excellent people engagement skill.

Education / Qualifications / Certifications Required

  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Finance / Accounting
