BAT QATARIS LOOKING FOR A TRADE MARKETING REPRESENTATIVE

SENIORITY LEVEL: Non-management

FUNCTION: Marketing

LOCATION: Qatar

ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES.

This role is part of Marketing function and is responsible to execute the country operational plan within their assigned territories to deliver trade marketing, distribution, and brand objectives within trade channels and key accounts through application of BAT best practices.

WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR

  • Constantly evaluate assigned territory to identify and maximize all business opportunities
  • Ensure the effective implementation of all trade marketing activities, focusing on building strong relationships within the trade marketing universe
  • Provide timely and accurate reports on trade marketing activities, competitor reports, and market conditions
  • Establish excellent working relationship with partners to gain their support in maximizing product volume and in store presence
  • Recommend trade initiates that will help bolster market performance and brand building
  • Implement and evaluate trade incentive that drive visibility and awareness of key brands within agreed budgets
  • Engage and collaborate with the distributor sales force to ensure optimal distribution, availability and freshness
  • Guide and support to maintain high standards for in-store displays and ensure adherence to agreed planograms
  • Formulate, negotiate and execute business development agreements with key retailers and accounts maintaining strong relationships
  • Optimize trade spending to ensure cost effective marketing initiatives
  • Proactively resolve any trade or market challenges that arise, ensuring smooth execution of marketing plans
  • Monitor and control deployment of market initiatives and project to ensure alignment with strategic goals

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

  • Education: Minimum bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or relevant field
  • Experience: 1-2 years’ experience as trade marketing, sales or trade marketing role within the FMCG industry, with a focus on managing relationships and executing trade initiatives
  • Relationship Management: Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationship with trade partners, distributors and key accounts
  • Negotiation Skills: Strong Negotiation abilities, with experience in formulating and executing agreements that benefit both the business and trade partners
  • Problem Solving: Demonstrated ability to resolve market and trade related issues swiftly and effectively with a proactive and solution – oriented approach
  • Initiative Development: Experience in designing and implementing trade programs that increase brand visibility and drive sales
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence key stakeholders effectively
  • Proficient in MS office applications Excel, PowerPoint for analysis, reporting and presentations
  • Well-organized with excellent time management skills, capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while staying focused on achieving objectives
