British American TobaccoGuyana has an exciting opportunity for a Trade Marketing Executive in Georgetown,Guyana

This role supports the implementation of the overall Business Strategy through the most effective and efficient utilization of budgets, Trade Market and Distribution (TM&D) systems and workforce in order to achieve the Trade Marketing objectives, as outlined in the monthly cycle and demand plans and to implement activities informed by the overall Trade Marketing (TM) Plan in order to support the achievement of the respective Brands, Volume, Price, Profit and Market share objectives of the company.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Develop and implement a territory Trade Marketing Plan which meets the objectives of the National Trade Marketing Plan in the areas of brand, volume, merchandising and promotion.
  • Drive and develop monthly initiatives to support monthly In Market Sales Volume achievement for area under management.
  • Ensure that the territory distribution objectives of company brands are achieved in all outlets, including those which are not visited, by trade channel and outlet type in order that availability is improved in line with brand strategies and the needs of the market.
  • Provide Trade Marketing information and reports (daily/weekly) related to performance and accounts to ensure that the Head of Trade is always informed.
  • To classify and reclassify new and existing outlets (consumer profile), to reflect the current purchasing habits and strategic positioning of the outlets, and to secure opportunities through the development and implementation of channel specific cycle objectives.

What are we looking for?

  • At least Bachelor´s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Management or related fields.
  • 1-2 years of experience working in the trade, preferably with another FMCG company and must be 18 years or older.
  • Valid General Driver´s Licence with at least 2 years’ driving experience
  • Analytical & Numerical skills - Ability to analyze problems, recommend solutions and action plans within organizational policy.
  • Negotiation & Planning skills with 90% of time in field/Trade executions.
